| Junior Golf Academy Timber Creek Golf Club - Houston
 Summer Program for 10-18 year olds
June 15 - August 15
This program is designed for junior golfers who already know how to play golf and want to improve. This will be a very good program for kids who will be trying out for high school golf teams late in the summer and for junior golfers who want to play better golf.
The emphasis will be on improved scoring. We will practice full swing fundamentals but pitching, chipping, bunker play, and putting will be top priorities. We will also work on fitness training, nutrition, mental fitness, and anything else we can do to play better golf.
On Tuesday and Thursdays, from 1pm until 3pm, we will offer classes. During these classes, we will cover all aspects of the game. Topics will include:
- Full Swing fundamentals - with video analysis
- Short Game Skills with testing to measure skill level and chart progress.
- Club Fitting and Equipment evaluation.
- Nutrition
- Fitness
- Mental Golf
On Saturday afternoons, we will have organized playing opportunities. During these playing days, we will chart performance. The program includes:
- Two organized training sessions per week. These will generally meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1pm -3:00pm. Times will be adjusted when necessary.
- Organized play on Saturday afternoons starting June 19. This will be a nine hole round. We will chart performance and progress during these rounds.
- Practice opportunities. You will be provided 400 range balls per week outside of the training sessions. This is two “range tokens” per day for five days per week.
- Playing opportunities. Junior Academy members will have playing privileges during non-peak times. Non-peak times are: Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays after after 3pm, and Monday through Thursday after 2pm. As an Junior Academy member, you can make a tee time reservation one day in advance. Call the Pro Shop (281) 993-1140 to make a tee time.
The cost of the program is $500 for the summer beginning June 15 and ending August 15.
This program will be run by David Pilsner, PGA Director of Instruction with the assistance of the Timber Creek Professional Staff, and several counselors.
